As anyone who has read our website knows, we simply cannot drive past Burris' plastic bobbing strawberries or peaches without stopping for a ice cream laden strawberry shortcake or to take home a fresh loaf of peach nut bread that is made right in Burris's own kitchens.

Now they have added to the menu. Soup-Sandwiches-Panini-Hoagies and Salads. Check out the Grape Salad and Pimento Cheese Sandwich. And don't forget the pies. A mere $2.99 for a slice of pure heaven! Some of our favorites are Peanut Butter Pie and their famous Key Lime Pie. The Key Lime Pie is so good, it was the only Key Lime Pie mentioned outside of the state of Florida in Southern Living Magazine.

Burris Farm Market has also expanded their cookbook selection to include more local authors. You can even get a cookbook written by members of the Burris family.

	Nothing says lovin' like something from the oven and I was loving this apple cobbler with ice cream till the last bite. They also offer peach, blackberry or chocolate pecan cobbler served warm with your choice of soft or plain ice cream.
Last Saturday as I was checking out I spied a local cookbook ' Cooking Long Distance ' After skimming the contents, I bought one for myself and two to send to my daughters. I don't know Pamelia Coleman, the author, but I recognized the flavor of her recipes. This book is not your typical local cookbook. Mrs. Coleman writes as if she was standing in the kitchen next to your elbow. The cookbook is worth the price alone for the chapter entitled ' How to Season a Cast Iron Skillet My Way '.
