| Here are some "Not to Be Missed" local Favorites we would like to share with you:
Royal Red Shrimp - Found in the cold, deep waters of the gulf, for shrimp lovers Royal Reds are the King of Shrimp. These succulent morsels are not to be wasted on mere cocktail sauce -- one needs butter -- lots and lots of LEMON BUTTER. They are quick frozen in salted water, so do not add salt to your water.--Read More

Burris Farmer's Market - Burris Farm Market is a favorite of both local and returning guests. Most regular guests stop on the way too and, again, on returning home. Vegetables (best are marked "Burris Grown"), local honey, flowers, and, best of all, the BAKERY. In strawberry season, don't miss the strawberry shortcake. On all their shortcakes, Burris uses REAL shortcake-not the wimpy sponge cake most of all have to resort to because of time and supply. The blackberry shortcake is tart, as it should be, and the apple dumplings are just like my mother made. Burris's key lime pie is the only concoction mentioned in "Southern Living" found outside of the state of Florida. Enough typing- I'm going to Burris's Farm Market.--Read More
